Qiskit Fall Fest Nairobi exists to make quantum computing education open and welcoming to everyone. This code of conduct outlines what that means in practice — for every workshop, talk, hackathon session, and online space tied to the event.
Last updated: August 2026
Quantumke and the Qiskit Fall Fest Nairobi organizing team are committed to providing a harassment-free, inclusive experience for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or level of experience with quantum computing. We want every participant — student, researcher, professional, or first-time attendee — to feel safe, respected, and able to fully take part.
This code of conduct applies to organizers, speakers, volunteers, partners, and all participants throughout the event.
Be welcoming, respectful, and considerate — this event brings together people of every background and experience level.
Give and accept constructive feedback gracefully, and assume good intent in others.
Respect differing viewpoints, questions, and levels of quantum computing experience — there are no "bad" questions here.
Respect the physical and digital spaces we share, whether that's the University of Nairobi venue, an online workshop, or our community channels.
Follow the guidance of organizers, volunteers, and speakers during sessions and workshops.
Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form — including based on age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, or nationality.
Offensive, derogatory, or unwelcome comments, jokes, or imagery, in person or online.
Deliberate disruption of talks, workshops, or the hackathon experience.
Unwelcome physical contact or unwanted attention of any kind.
Sharing others' personal information ("doxxing") without explicit permission.
Any other conduct that would reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional, educational setting.
This code of conduct covers every space connected to Qiskit Fall Fest Nairobi
All workshops, talks, and the closing ceremony at the University of Nairobi.
